Fresno Pacific University is affordable… <ul><li>During the 2007-2008 academic year Fresno Pacific University students received over $32 million </li></ul><ul><li>$15.5 million (46 percent) of the financial aid funds disbursed last year came from grants and scholarships; $7.0 million came from federal, state and private sources and $8 million came from our own FPU institutional aid program. </li></ul><ul><li>$16.8 million (51 percent) disbursed to student last year came from student loans, mostly the Stafford Loan program. </li></ul><ul><li>The remaining 3 percent, about $ 1 million, was disbursed to our students as earned wages through the work study program. </li></ul>

Fast Facts <ul><li>Ninety-eight percent of FPU traditional undergraduate student are financial aid recipients. </li></ul><ul><li>Forty percent of our total traditional undergraduate students are Cal Grant recipients with awards ranging between $9,708 and $11,260 per year. Twenty-three percent of our Cal Grant recipients also receive the maximum Pell Grant award of $4,731. </li></ul><ul><li>A student with a full Pell Grant ($4,731) and Cal Grant A ($9,708) has a basic package of $14,439 in gift aid before we stack SEOG, Private, Foundation or FPU Institutional grants and scholarships. </li></ul><ul><li>Incoming freshman with a 3.60 GPA and 1,150 SAT score (25 ACT) qualify for the FPU President’s Scholarship. The value of this award has been increased to $9,000 for the 2009-10 academic year. We expect to award 50 new Presidents Scholars for 2009-10. </li></ul>

Fast Facts <ul><li>Last year the average net tuition cost for aided undergraduates was $6,885. </li></ul><ul><li>Average 4-year aggregate loan balance for FPU graduates is $15,588, well below the national average of about $22,000. </li></ul><ul><li>FPU has the highest graduate-in-four-years rate (51%) than any other four-year institution in the Valley. (CSU = 15%). </li></ul><ul><li>FPU has an accelerated program for teachers. This fast track program allows students to complete a bachelor’s degree and credential in four and-a-half years. </li></ul>
