  • From July to December 2010, Belgium held the Presidency of the Council of the European Union
  • Problems & challenges related to project mgmt and specifically to this project fall into two broad categories (explained in following slides) : PEOPLE number of involved players (many people, different institutions, different countries) DOCUMENTS workload concentrated on very short period of time (numerous documents in 6 months time)
  • Partners involved: Belgian administrations (social affairs, employment, diplomatic, cabinet of Ministers) Stakeholders Private contractors (p/r, events) Experts (academics)
  • first difficulty: PEOPLE
  • 2nd difficulty DOCUMENTS
  • Overcoming difficulties through cloud computing
  • New technologies brings new opportunities but also new threats
