4. Youcan switchto anyof FVH’sworkspacesfromthemenu that opensfromthe
left side.Other usefullinkson the topbarfrom left to right: PodioHome, Contacts,
Calendar,Tasks, Help & Support,Search, Personal settings,Notificationand Chat.

5. Chooseyour Workspace andclickon it.The Activity pagewillshow any new
itemscreated or edited – or any new statusmessages postedby anyone. If you
openSearch now,itwillsearch for itemsinsideany Apps in thisworkspace.Tip!
Do try thesearch, it is often themost efficientwayof locatingwhatyou need. Click
onSearch Globallyto broadenthesearch.
Next to theActivity feed you’llfindall the Apps for thisworkspace. Appsare like
“folders”for a workspace,they contain Items – likedocuments,projects,jobsor
whatnot.

6. Youcan send status updatesby typing them to the Activityfeed. Use @ to tag
colleagues.Youcan like and comment onstatusupdates,new items, editsand
almost anything.Ifyou’re thecreator ofan updateor item, you’llget anotification
whensomeone sends a comment. Tip!Remember to openthenotificationfeed
regularlyto see what’snew.

7. Most workspaceshave at least anApp for Documentsand Jobs.Theinformation
(items) insideanyApp can beviewedin atable, badgeor card view – try them out!
Thegreen buttoncreates a new item,eg. a Documentset ora Job(Jobsare like
Tasks, butthey can have multipleowners,whereasTasksare personal).
Withwebformsinformationcan besent from awebsiteandthen processed and
discussedin Podio.

8. Whencreating a New Item inPodio,it’stheonlytimeyou have toclick Save. Fill
outfields,inputcategories and add any numberof attachments(up to100MB in
sizeeach) and then Save theItem.You willautomaticallysubscribeto
notifications,so if someonecommentson theitem, you’llnoticeit inyour
notificationarea.

9. Anyone withaccess to the workspacecan edit or comment onany item.Editscan
alwaysbetracked and reversed. When you have an item open,any changeswill
automaticallybe saved – you don’thave to search for a save button(there isn’t
one).

10. Podio glossary
• Workspace: a collection of Apps
 All workspace members have full access to all the data inside the
workspace (you cannot hide Apps or Items per user)
• Apps: a collection of data with suitable Fields, Views and
functionality
• Item: inside an App, a single item of data (text,
attachments, comments)
• Template: workspace admins can edit what fields and field
types and in which order they appear on an Item
• Field types: text, numbers, addresses, categories etc.
• Tasks: you can create a Task from anywhere within Podio
and even delegate it to a colleague if you want

11. Podio glossary
• Chat: in addition to commenting Items, you can use the
Chat window on the right side to start a conversation with
any number of Podio users
• Commenting: you can start a discussion on any Item by
adding a comment. Because the discussion is visible next
to the Item, any future Workspace members will be able to
read them and stay up to date on any changes
• Notifications: if you keep Podio open frequently, you
might want to turn off email notifications (from My Account
 Account settings  Email & Notifications)
