  • It is important for learners to understand the benefit to learning. When people see the benefit, they are more likely to maximise the experience.
  • Learning can benefit: - individuals - colleagues - clients - supervisors - management and - the organisation.
  • Benefits my include: - greater productivity - better morale - fewer errors - less staff turnover and - increased communication options.
  • There are many different strategies that can be used to communicate benefits.
  • Reports to management can emphasis the benefit learning has for the organisation, in terms of greater skills and efficiency.
  • Newsletters can include reports on training, comments of participants, and training schedules. They are a great way both to emphasise value and inform on a logistics level.
  • Participant questionnaires can solicit information regarding what the participants found to be the benefits of a program.
  • Word of Mouth can encourage past participants to speak to potential participants about learning benefits. Testimonials are a great way for peers to communicate to each other about learning benefits. This gives a credible value to the program.
  • Reports to Supervisors are also a great way to communicate what the benefits of a learning program are and can create a discussion on successful elements of the program.
