  • Eruption of Mt. St Helens!
    It was May 18th 1980, when Mt. St Helens exploded into the air, it rated 5.1 on scale, 230 mile of forest destroyed and flattened, leaving many people stranded.
  • February 22nd 1980
    Us hockey teams defeats Russia and wins the 1st Olympic gold medal in men's hockey.
  • Beetles Loss
    It was a sad day for many on December 8th 1980, when John Lennon was shot and killed by David Chapman outside Lennon’s home in New York, he was part of the beetles band.
  • 1st lady In The Senate
    Sandra Day O Connor became 1st lady to serve as state leader, and then was elect the by Reagan of the supreme court.

    Cocaine, cocaine was the most popular drug in the 80s, it was considered a fun drug, but people became to a harsh understanding how dangerous it was when John Bulushi O.D on the drug killing him, he was the 1st most popular person to die from cocaine Len Bias was also killed by o.ding on cocaine.

    September 1st 1983, flight 007 form south Korea bound for Alaska was wrongly shot down, aboard the plane was congressman Lawrence McDonald, who died.

    Was introduced into the US in 1980s as well as 1985, went meant for large people that wanted to get rid of there fat, with out exercise.

    1st case of aids was reported in June, 1981, the deaths rapidly increased in the 80s. But in the 90 they decreased.

    September 23rd 1889, and was a new popular game system, many wealthy kids played it, Super Mario was one of the most favorable games.

    Was a song written by Michael Jackson, in 1985 was reveled to the public and made Michael Jackson very popular.
  • Challenger Disaster
    In 1986 on Jan 28th at the Carpe Canaveral air force in Florida was the space shuttle to take off at 1138 but the plane sadly blew up.

    In the 80s, the main types of shoes where the all-star shoes they where a big hit, also Michel Jackson shirts where very popular.
