    • 1) It is a false belief that life could spring from non-living matter.
    • 2)The basic unit of structure and function in living things.
    • 3) The structures or “tiny organs” that make up a cell.
    • 4) The cell theory states:
    • -All living things are made of cells
    • -Cells are the basic unit of structure
    • and function in living things
    • - Living cells only come from other
    • living cells

    • It is calculated by multiplying the eyepiece power by the objective lens power.
    • (e.g. 10x x 40x = 400x)
    • 2) Use the coarse adjustment knob on low power only.
    • 3) One hand on the Arm and one hand under the Base.
    • 4) As you magnify the image the amount detail increases while the amount of area decreases .
