Unit: Cells Intro
1) It is a false belief that life could spring from non-living matter.
2)The basic unit of structure and function in living things.
3) The structures or “tiny organs” that make up a cell.
4) The cell theory states:
-All living things are made of cells

and function in living things
- Living cells only come from other
living cells

Unit: Microscope Intro
It is calculated by multiplying the eyepiece power by the objective lens power.
(e.g. 10x x 40x = 400x)
2) Use the coarse adjustment knob on low power only.
3) One hand on the Arm and one hand under the Base.
4) As you magnify the image the amount detail increases while the amount of area decreases .
