FON Management Console How to set up PPPoE & network of your Fonera WiFi-router
FON Community Problem: Many Internet Service Provider provide you with a special „dial-up software“ you have to run in order to connect to the Internet. Evidence: There is no FON_AP signal and the „Internet“ LED does not light up. Explanation: You need PPPoE if your router cannot dial-up to the Internet automatically. You have to set your ISP login data in the FON router. The dial-up software is not necessary anymore. So PPPoE is the dial-up protocol to connect to the Internet. You can find your personal login data in a letter from your ISP or on its website.
Option 1: Connect wireless with the MyPlace signal to the router
Note: You find your WiFi key for the MyPlace signal on the back of your FON router (s/n)
What you have to do: FON Community Option 2: Connect to the router directly over Ethernet with your LAN cable Note: Set your network settings to automatic (e.g. no static IP) I.
FON Community Open your browser and type in the addess to connect to the management console Option 1: „ http://192.168.10.1 “ Option 2: „ http://169.254.255.1 “ II.
FON Community Click „advanced“ 1 The user name is „admin“ and the password is alos set to „admin“ 2 III.
FON Community Select „ PPPoE “ Click „Internet connection“ 1 2 Fill in your ISP login data and hit „submit“ 3 That‘s it. Restart your router and connect it to the internet. IV.
