  2. 2. Key Concepts <ul><li>Representation: Refers to the construction in any medium of aspects of ‘reality’ such as people, places, object, event, cultural identities and other abstract concepts. For example representation may be in speech or in writing as well as still or moving pictures. (Daniel Chandlers’ Definition) </li></ul><ul><li>In my presentation I have found that people use cultural products such as dress codes, languages, food and specific entertainment which is aimed towards them. This represents their ethnicity. </li></ul>

Key Concepts <ul><li>Identity: A personal characteristic by which an individual is recognizable. </li></ul><ul><li>In my presentation I have found that people identify themselves with their nationality and culture. They are identified by others through their dress sense , the way they speak and act around others. This is what gives them their identity. </li></ul>
