      • Welcome to the Senior School
      • Today we will present an overview of:

        • Reward System (Credits/Debits)
        • Form Tutors / Tutor Room
        • Daily life in the senior school
        • Our AIM is to make the transition as smooth as possible

    4. TIMETABLE
      • 40 Periods
      • 5 School Days
      • 8 periods per day
      • 40 minute periods
      • Single/Double Periods
      • 1 x 30 minute break
      • 1 x 60 minute break
    5. DAILY ROUTINE
      • 8.15am Arrive at School
      • 8.25am-8.40 am Registration
      • 8.40am-10.00am Periods 1-2
      • 10.00am-10.30am Morning Break
      • 10.30am-12.30pm Periods 3-5
      • 12.30pm-1.30pm Break and Lunch
      • 1.30pm - 3.30pm Periods 6-8
      • 3.30pm - 3.40pm Afternoon Registration
      • 4.00pm – 5.00pm Clubs or Home
    6. CLUBS
      • After School / Lunchtime Clubs
      • 1hour after school or 30 minutes lunchtime
      • Each term
      • Clubs – Sports, Cooking Club, Art Club, Jewellery Making, Monopoly Club, Chess Club, Football, etc.
    7. STUDIES AND PUNCTUALITY
      • Subject areas – Maths, English, Science, Geography, History, Music, ICT, Drama, PSHE, P.E., 2 Languages
      • Specialist teachers
      • Moving between Classes
      • Expected on time
      • End of year exams
    8. HOMEWORK
      • Homework Timetable
      • 3x30mins blocks
      • 1hour 30mins per night
      • Project tasks, worksheets, spellings, reading, revision etc.
    9. UNIFORM
      • All students are expected to be in full school uniform
      • Correct school footwear is expected at all times
      • Trainers are not acceptable footwear except for P.E. lessons
      • Students bring P.E. kit to school and change in the P.E. changing rooms
    10. LEADERSHIP
      • Leadership Opportunities - being elected Form Representative on the Student Council
      • Organising School Discos
      • Bake Sales
      • School Production
      • Planning Residential Trip
      • Taking part / being in charge of assembly
      • Writing articles for the school website / mini mag
      • Taking visitors on tour of school
    11. STUDENT PLANNER
      • The planner helps students to:
      • Record homework and organise their time inside and outside of school
      • Carry messages between parents and teachers
      • Collect credits
      • The Student Planner must be signed by
      • parents and the Form Teacher
      • EACH WEEK.

      • Expect students to know right from wrong
      • Sanctions

      • Credits – These can be given for :
        • Good work
        • Helpfulness
        • Representing a team etc.
        • 20 Credits = Bronze Certificate
        • 40 Credits = Silver Certificate
        • 60 Credits = Gold Certificate
        • 80 Credits = Platinum Certificate
        • 100 Credits = Gift Voucher
    14. Reward System
      • Debits – These can be given for :
        • Persistent lateness to class
        • Repeatedly having no textbook/homework
        • Rudeness to staff
        • Misbehaviour during a lesson etc.
        • 5 debits form tutor speaks to student about behaviour during break time
        • 10 debits put on weekly tutor report
    15. REWARDS
      • Credits
      • Credit Certificates – Bronze, Silver etc
      • Certificates for effort / achievement
      • Good reports
      • End of year Awards Ceremony
      • Personal Satisfaction!
    16. MAIN DIFFERENCES
      • Different classrooms
      • Different teachers
      • No indoor shoes
      • Lockers situated in basement
      • Student Planner
      • Use of Field, Mexican garden, canteen and vending machine at break times
      • Senior School Entrance.
