  • 20. Third Place – x 23.A.1 Workflow Software By Jennifer D from Don MillsCollegiate Institute, USAJudges comment:I really enjoyed your approach to this topic. It was creativeand interesting. I could tell by the video you had enjoyedworking on it and creating it. Using your own produced videoclips enabled you to more in control of what your messagewas. It showed how Workflow is used internationally. Thistopic could have been a bit boring but you were able tocreate interest. The smiles of everyone on the video clipscreated a sense of happiness. You told a very good andeffective story and then brought it all together with smoothtransitions. Good job - keep creating.Teacher: Bruce Forsythe
  • 21. Second Place10.C.2 – Social Entrepreneurs Give Hope toInvisible Children By Kelsy L Saucon Valley HighSchool, USAJudges comment:A very effective video presentation. The opening videoclip is powerful and sets the tone for the seriousness ofthe situation. The music that was used in this sectionwas excellent. The level was very good but moreimportantly the music created a bit of an unsettlingmood. You told a good story. You had a message, delivered the message and created emotion in thelistener. Good job!!!Teacher: Jessica Friday
  • 22. FIRST PLACEThe Flat Classroom Project 2013-1 overall winnerJudges Comment:This video was a joy to listen to and watch. The opening sequence with the youngboy was excellent and gave a wonderful punch to the beginning of the videoBackground Music: The music choices were excellent. Each piece of musicdefinitely went with the section of the video where it was used. I really liked it whenyou occasional just stopped the music and you could only here the speaker. Itcertainly added emphasis to the message. The music set the tone as you movedfrom point to point.Voice over - the speaking voice was very good and definitely implied passion for thetopic. The change in volume and emphasis was excellent. The script was wellwritten and spoke directly to the message you wanted the viewer to grasp.I found the video to me very emotional. It grabbed my interest at the very beginningwith the young boy and then I was "hooked" and emotionally bought into the topic. You told an excellent story and you should definitely continue creating in thismanner.
