I am not surprised therefore that the bells for this ceremony have sounded far andwide. This is a testimony to the excellent pedigree of the FirstBank group and MoneyGramInternational respectively. If this was a wedding, it is the type that could be christened theultimate wedding of the decade.I am delighted to welcome you to the formal launch of the auspicious partnership betweenMoneyGram International and FirstBank, which I believe will make a remarkable impact on thelives of our invaluable customers and the entire people of Nigeria.Some years ago, we at FirstBank initiated far-reaching measures to transform our business inresponse to the rapidly changing dynamics of the market place. The evolving repositioningexercise has today made FirstBank a veritable example of a first generation bank with theagility, dynamism, processes, technology and corporate mindset of a new generation bank.
