Hobbies and Actions” Class n° 4 Objectives:  To consolidate the vocabulary about sports and actions learned in the previous class.  To express preferences by using LIKE/DON´T LIKE and LIKES/DOESN´T LIKE followed by the – ing form.  To be able to produce sentences using the vocabulary and structures learned.  To express orally each student’s likes and dislikes.  To be exposed and receive input from the target language.  To assess student’s progress as well as teacher‘s performance. ACTIVITIES: ACTIVITIES TYPE OF INTERACTION MACRO SKILLS TIMING MATERIALS WARM UP: Greeting/Date/Weather. Whole class Speaking 15’ Greenboard/ flashcards Activation of prior knowledge using flashcardsTeacher introduces third person singular + verb ending in -s. Whole class Speaking 10’ ACTIVITY 4: Game: Student goes at the front of the class and takes one paper with a hobby. He/she mimes with his/her body the hobby and the class guess which hobby is performed. Whole class Speaking/ reading 10´ ACTIVITY 1: Students complete a worksheet filling in the blanks with the appropriate words. Oral Feedback. ACTIVITY 2: Listening Comprehension: Students listen and say if the statements are true or false. Feedback on the board. Photocopies Provided by the teacher Photocopies provided by the teacher ACTIVITY 3: Project Teachers give students a pennant in which they copy the three sentences they wrote in the previous exercise and then, they decorate it as they prefer (with drawings, a picture of themselves, etc.) Pennants provided by the teacher All the pennants will be stuck on the classroom’s wall.
