John Astill worked with the Lego League resulting in his SAP TechEd "Demo Jam" kids placing runner-up at TechEd Las Vegas. Who could forget that TechEd or John working on his Saturdays to help the "DemoJam" kids code on the NW Cloud platform?Theirdemo just floored me. Things go wrong, but they totally kept their cool and continue with their demo. Amazing: https://www.sapvirtualevents.com/teched/embed.aspx?sid=3460
In SAP Australia most SAP events close with an SAP Mentor panel. See Sanjay Khanna’s post: http://scn.sap.com/community/about/blog/2011/12/21/the-technosocial-network Excerpt from that post: “After a typical SAP event,” Kloss [SAP Head Marketing for Australia and New Zealand] says, “our customers tell us, ‘I learn more than I know what to do with.’“They get inundated and at the close of an event, they ask, ‘What do I do on Monday?’”Enter SAP Mentors. They play the role of trusted advisers at marquee SAP events, such as SAPPHIRE and SAP TechEd.“We set up a panel at the end of the SAP World Tour conference called a ‘Closing Locknote,’” Kloss explains.“During an open mike session, we throw out questions and up to five SAP Mentors on stage respond to the hours of conference content in a frank, spirited and sometimes blunt fashion, advising SAP customers in the process.According to Kloss, “SAP Mentors are an independent source of information who know the content and share with our customers their opinions on what to focus on when doors opens come Monday.“It’s one of the highest ranked parts of the program at our SAP World Tour event in Australia and the feedback we get is that it’s very valuable.”Tweets from Australia SAP Forum / User Group Meeting: Link:Erdo Dwiputra @erdo_drJust done a survey of #SAUGSummit and think the highlight of the conference is the presentations delivered by @SAPMentors. Traditionally the SAP Developer Kick-Off meetings are internal only. In 2011 they were opened up for SAP Mentors to participate. In 2012 14 sessions were hosted by SAP Mentors. Many of the InnoJam as well as DemoJam judges were also SAP Mentors. Picture by SAP Mentor Frank Koehntopp http://www.flickr.com/photos/koehntopp/7030403361/
