    • Banking & Finance Careers:
      We help you get there
      June 18, 2010
    • Selection Round
      Interviewer: What is Debt?
      Candidate 1:
Debt? Ummm…. Errr… It is not equity … one earns interest on debt … it is repaid after a period
      Candidate 2:
Debt is a less risky asset class than equity. It is repayable on maturity. Until maturity, an investor or lender earns interest.
Investors in this market are currently wary of private debt, as is clear from the spreads in the CDS market.
Who do you think will get the job?
