This presentation introduces of a new learning platform, that emerges out of eliminating the current learning silos.

The presentation presents 3 silos:
- learning people
- learning programs
- learning processes

The elimination of all these silos will lead towards a low cost learning platform, that will innately learner centric, and that will significantly increase learning adaptability to the ever changing market conditions.

  • Description: This presentation brings forth a new way to look at knowledge assessment, by introducing the concept of a "knowledge field" to assess the knowledge of individuals and groups.  The knowledge field is very similar to a "electromagnetic field".  The idea is to give knowledge assessment a more accurate  and reliable process, that will streamline innovation and learning simultaneously.   Tags : learning, silos, learning silos, learning marketplace, market, online market, holistic

    • 1. New Learning Platfom A platform that breaks existing learning industry silos #learningplatform
    • 2. The Learning industry is a market... ...whose main objective is to...
    • 3. ...bring to other markets... ...a fundamental commodity...
    • 4. ...allowing PEOPLE of all ages... ...to contribute with...
    • 5. ...solutions to HUGE problems... ...currently affecting society...
    • 6. ...namely the PERFECT RECESSION... ...that combines the punch of...
    • 7. ...trillions in lost value... ...that left millions jobless...
    • 8. ...with 250 million new... ...highly qualified workers...
    • 9. ...with the highest deficit in history... ...leaving no other solution...
    • 10. ...than to develop a truly..... ...revolutionary solution...
    • 11. ...able to offer traditional LEARNERS... ...and less traditional learners...
    • 12. ...who were once successful... ...and are now...
    • 13. ...under-employed... ...or those learners that...
    • 14. ...lost their retirement savings... ...and now need to...
    • 15. ...re-enter the market... ...knowing too much about...
    • 16. ...what is "out"... ...and too little about...
    • 17. ...what is "in"... ...in a way that that combines...
    • 18. ...low cost, high speed... ...high quality and fun...
    • 19. ...with new finance options... ...from a new breed of...
    • 20. ...learning SPONSORS... ...and new...
    • 21. ...LEARNING PROGRAMS... ...from...
    • 22. ...LEARNING ARCHITECTS... ...able to work with...
    • 23. ...other LEARNING ARCHITECTS... ...working hand-in hand with...
    • 24. ...learning program ACCREDITORS ... ...to ensure quality and with...
    • 25. ...learner AUTHENTICATORS... ...so the market can ...
    • 26. ...in simple manner... ...know about who knows what.
    • 27. Simple? Right? Well...
    • 28. ...the learning market... ...is actually an old market...
    • 29. ...in which things evolve slowly... ...and in which collaboration...
    • 30. ...is difficult because silos are... ...everywhere, making impossible...
    • 31. ...to create those... ...out of the box ideas, which...
    • 32. ...emerge through... ...collaboration.
    • 33. So how do we get... ...from where we are...
    • 34. to... ...here?
    • 35. Simple! The learning silos... ...need to be come down!
    • 36. ...to allow all learning agents... ...no matter where they are...
    • 37. ...the ability to communicate... ...anyhow and at anytime...
    • 38. ...to create... ...new learning programs...
    • 39. ...to give people the new... ...skills needed today...
    • 40. ...and equally important... ...for tomorrow.
    • 41. So... what silos... ...need to come down?
    • 42. (1) Learning People... ...so they can to collaborate in the creation of outcome-based programs (instead of the traditional expert-based we have) that evolve to market needs;
    • 43. (2) Learning Programs... ...so learners can have a continuum of learning that spans through their entire life span;
    • 44. (3) Learning Processes... ...so learners can retain and publish using rich-knowledge-streams, what they know, how they learn, when and why they learned it.
    • 45. What will this new platform... ...look like?
    • 46. For starters... ...a lot more fun!
    • 47. Then it will be... ...all about the learner who...
    • 48. ...from the top of the pyramid... ...will start by...
    • 49. ...picking a destination... ...among many options...
    • 50. ...initiating a journey... ...towards an outcome...
    • 51. ...in which the leaner... ...is in absolute control...
    • 52. ...and is reponsible for tagging... ...each event along the way...
    • 53. ...sometimes as private... ...and others...
    • 54. ...as public events... ...with the intent of...
    • 55. ...never forget what was learned... ...and to tell others...
    • 56. ...how the learner's knowledge... ...can assist them.
    • 57. Pretty cool... ...don't you think?
    • 58. So, lets summarize... ...to make things really clear.
    • 59. All learning agents need to... ...come together...
    • 60. ...along with all types of... ... learning programs...
    • 61. ...and all sorts of learning... ...to create a new platform...
    • 62. ...that is flexible... ...and above all...
    • 63. ...transparent... ...managed by...
    • 64. ...simple rules... ...allowing for...
    • 65. ...non-stop... ...as in "at all times"...
    • 66. ...anyhow... ...learning...
    • 67. ...from... ...that first moment...
    • 68. ...to... ...the last...
    • 69. ...in a fun, reliable, inexpensive... ...way...
    • 70. ...that focuses on the outcome... ...ensuring...
    • 71. ...that we spend more time... ...doing what we need...
    • 72. ...which begs the question... ...of whether you are...
    • 73. ...ready for the always-on... ...learning society?
    • 74. You sure? (I can wait.)
    • 75. What learning platform... ...will you be using?
    • 76. Not sure why you would... ...need a learning platform?
    • 77. Ok. Follow me.
    • 78. We've written in stone... ...that learning is the only way...
    • 79. ...towards a sustainable future... ...which means that...
    • 80. ...you will have to become... ...really good at...
    • 81. ...searching... ...and...
    • 82. ...comparing... ...and...
    • 83. ...financing... ...and...
    • 84. ...documenting... ...and...
    • 85. ...promoting... ...your learning activities...
    • 86. ...which will consume... ...tons of time...
    • 87. ...that will keep you... ...away from learing.
    • 88. Wouldn't you love your own... ..."learning entourage"?
    • 89. I'm nuts about... ...improving learning...
    • 90. ...and I would l love to hear... ...from you...
    • 91. ...so please leave... ...a comment.
    • 92. Thank you for your time. You can find me @ http://filipe-pinto.com
