Trees that produced ambar lived millions of years ago. The resin that these trees produced worked as protection against bacteria and against bugs that perforated their wood. As time went by, this resin started to lose water and air, and the organic substances that constituted it went through what chemists call polymerization. Resin hardened and changed into what we know as ambar. AMBAR IS THE BEST EXAMPLE OF THE STABILITY AND LONGEVITY OF A POLYMER.

  8. 8. CONFIRMED EFFECTIVENESS AND CLINICAL SAFETY Tested post-operatory sensitivity: clinical evaluations of many dental surgeons report absence of post-operatory sensitivity. SEE AMBAR’S HIGH PERFORMANCE IN CLINICAL EVALUATION: The balance of the chemical composition of Ambar assures its excellent polymerization, preventing the release of substances capable of causing post- operatory sensibility, in addition to the formation of a good adhesive layer, with long and obliterating tags, minimizing the movement of fluids to the dentin. of restorations made with Ambar have kept stable and WITH NO NEED FOR REPAIR. 2,9% need only to be polished. 97,1% of the restorations made with Adper Single Bond 2, after 6 months, kept stable and with no need for repair. 91,4% Results obtained after 6 months of clinical study conducted by Dr. Alessandro Loguércio, Dra.   9. 9. STEP BY STEP The product is indicated for direct and indirect adhesive restorations (aid in adhesive cementation) and also in repair of indirect restorations. Below, a case is presented illustrating the way of application of the adhesive on dental surface (enamel and dentin). This application should be preceded by the steps required as per each indication, being that each situation may have a different clinical protocol. 1a - 1b: After cleaned, both surfaces – of enamel and dentin – should be conditioned for 15 seconds, with phosphoric acid (Condac 37). 5 and 6: The adhesive is then lightcured for 10 seconds (or 20 seconds for intracanal application) by blue light lightcuring unit with minimum power density of 400m W/cm2 . Then, restoration may continued or proceeding with adhesive cementation, etc., depending on the case. 4: The application of a slight air jet for 10 seconds helps evaporation of the solvent and contributes to the adhesion. 2: The acid is removed with plenty of water and the surface is dried, leaving the substrate slightly damp. If the surface is too dry, a dampened cotton ball may be applied to the tooth. 3: A drop of Ambar (FGM) should be dispensed in micro application tips Cavibrush (FGM). The first layer of adhesive is then applied by rubbing it for 10 seconds. Then, a second layer is applied for 10 seconds more, using a new drop of adhesive.
