  • Design Task is to design the School Bus of the New Millennium!School buses haven’t changed much over the years.
  • Left, Right, Whole Brained Learners, what does it mean? See handout.Left brain learners are Logical, Linear (things in order) and Language oriented. They like words, organized, symbols, writing, it needs to make sense, be realistic and useful.
  • Right brain learners are richly imaginative, random and visually oriented. They like pictures, color, doodles, to represent what could be.
  • Consider the presentation and we will critique if it followed the learning style preference.

    1. 1. Learning Style InventoryWrite your name on theboard under theappropriate heading.

Quickly Divide into 5 Discussion groups based on brain learning.Use the next 12 minutes to design theschool bus of the future however you like.Determine a spokesperson for the group topresent to the class. The only rules arethat you may not discuss or share ideaswith other groups, and you must have awhite board presentation. Then 

    4. 4. … then empower write!Look at your answers to the learning styles inventory.Write about your contribution to the bus activity. Include yourlearning styles inventory, the design task, and the presentation.Support how your contributions demonstrated your learning style.
