INTRODUCTIONThe video streaming system is a visual system that can play/stream flash videos and mp4type of videos locally through synchronization. 3.SCOPEThe video streaming system will allow video and audio files to be loaded to the ICTstreaming system by lecturers, and lecturers will create a link in WISeUp which will point tothat particular video/audio in the ICT video streaming system. 4.PURPOSEThe purpose of this document is to:  Introduce a system that will decrease load on the internet bandwidth so as to provide effective and efficient video sharing platform.  Have a system that will make it easy for students to download and view videos for lecturers and students, possible such videos can be transferred to their portable devices. 5.CURRENT SYSTEMThe current system uses WISeUp to load videos which offers mpeg, avi and quicktimevideos, these video formats occupy a lot of space and they are not easy to view ordownload. With this current system the video take too long to open and sometime would notopen.Page | 5

Lecturers will upload videos in the ICT Video Streaming System. 2. Lecturers will save the videos/audio in a localized server so as to decrease load on the internet bandwidth. 3. Once the video has been successfully uploaded on a local server, the students will view and download a video through a link on WiSeUp system. 4. The student will either view or save the video in their portable devices.Business rules  The ICT Video Streaming will allow lecturers to upload videos.  The students will only view and download videos from WiSeUp.  The system should play .flv video files and .mp4 video files formats6.1 SUMMARY OF IMPROVEMENTSThe video streaming system that can play/stream flash videos and mp4 type of videos locallythrough synchronization. The system will allow user to easily download and view videos.The user will download videos and place them on a localized server so as decrease load onthe internet bandwidth. To help support lecturers and students in learning and teaching through digital inclusion byway of multimedia. 7.NEW REQUIREMENTS 7.1Security requirements The system will be accessed by students and lectuers. 7.2 Support requirements The ICT department will be responsible to support the infrastructure of the system. 8.ASSUMPTIONS AND CONSTRAINTS The system won’t take long to implement and the project will be completed using tools andtechniques adopted by WSU. The proposed system will best fit in our infrastructure.Page | 8
