  2. 2. The History! <ul><li>During World War2,two scientist invented the magnetron, a tube that produces microwaves. </li></ul><ul><li>By 1975 sales of Microwave Ovens Exceeded that of Gas Ranges! </li></ul>

  4. 4. Prices! <ul><li>The first microwave was priced at $2,000.00 to $3,000.00! </li></ul><ul><li>Two years later the made a smaller version of the microwave oven and it was priced at $500.00! </li></ul>
  5. 5. It’s Style! <ul><li>The first microwave oven was 6 feet tall and 750 pounds! </li></ul><ul><li>They had compared the microwave to a refrigerator! </li></ul>
  6. 6. The Future Microwave’s! <ul><li>These are two of the new microwaves that have came out or might come out in the future! </li></ul>
  7. 7. The Inventor <ul><li>1. The inventor of the microwave oven was Percy L. Spencer! </li></ul><ul><li>2. The invention was Important because it would help people during world war2! </li></ul><ul><li>3.The invention that was needed before the microwave oven was the magnetron. </li></ul><ul><li>4.The invention is used today by people making food and by people warming leftovers from last night. Also a new feature that has been added to the microwave is the defroster. That is used to un freeze frozen foods! </li></ul><ul><li>5.The invention will be used tomorrow by it now being able to toast your pizza and microwave food item that needs to be warmed up or that needs to be fully cooked! </li></ul>
