  2. 2. Objectives To show one how to build a portfolio. Share the importance of portfolios. Share how anecdotal notes and KDI (key developmental indicators) improve portfolios
  3. 3. Purpose Of A Portfolio Record the progress of your students work over the year or the during their stay in your program. Separate : Infant/Toddler, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten , Kindergarten
  4. 4. How Do You Build Portfolios ? Samples of the child’s work Observations Divided into interests areas such as : Art, Math, Social Skills
  5. 5. What Should Your PortfolioLook Like ? Entries should have dates Art should be placed in sheet protectors Each section should be equally represented Pictures, pictures and more pictures Explanation of what the activity teaches the child.
  6. 6. How Should I Set Up MYPortfolio ? It is up to you! Store it in binders, folders, crates Let the children pick their best work Chronologically
  7. 7. When Should I Use MyPortfolios? Parent-Teachers Conference Meet and Greet Kindergarten Round-Up Any chance you get to showcase your program
