    • Control of an undertaking consists ofseeing that everything is beingcarried out in accordance with theplan which has been adopted, theorders which have been given, andthe principles which have been laiddown. Its object is to point outmistakes in order that they may berectified and prevented fromrecurring.

    • FEATURES OFCONTROLLINGOne can control future happenings but not thehappened. Hence in here all the past performance ismeasured for taking corrective actions for future periods.Every manager in an organisation has to perform thecontrol function. The control may be quality control,inventory control, production control, or evenadministrative control.Control is a continuous process, it follow a definitepattern and time-table, month after month and year afteryear on a continuous basis.
