Provincial Assembly of Khyber PakhtunkhwaNotifications8th May 2012 | Resolution No.711Resolution Passed Unanimously on 7th May 2012The Provincial Assembly of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through Provincial Government herebyrecommends to the Worthy President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the FederalGovernment that in order to ensure that the people of Federally Administered Tribal Areasshould fully enjoy the protection and equally, under and before the law as inalienable right ofevery citizen under the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the following measuresmay be adopted;-1. to treat the FATA inhabitants at par with the other citizens of the Islamic Republic ofPakistan;2. to delete clause (7) of Article 247 of the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistanbeing violative of fundamental rights of the citizens of the area and to entend thejurisdiction of the Supreme Court and High Court to the said area;3. to abolish the newly constituted FCR Tribunal and to establish a proper Judicial Forum; and4. the Parliament (Majlis-e-Shoora) may enact laws for FATA and the people of FATA mayalso get representation in the Provincial Assembly.###
