  • Karen uses Dynamics CRM and FastTrackGov to process the work that she used to have to perform manually. Karen receives a workflow notification when Nina submits her business license application. She may schedule inspections, credit checks, etc., or she may approve the application and notify Nina of the fee required. Let’s walk through Karen’s process with her.

  • The workflow in the system is customized to your organization’s business process and can be maintained by you.
  • This is Nina. Nina needs a business license for her new coffee house, The Coffee Break. After a telephone call to city hall, she quickly completes the online business license application using the citizen portal provided by the city’s FastTrackGov software. Let’s complete the application now.
  • After logging on to the City’s Website, Nina clicks the FastTrackGov link to apply for a business license
  • She then selects the type of business license from a drop-down list.
  • She also must enter an effective date which is selected from a drop down list.
  • Now she is ready to complete her online application.
  • The online application can vary based on the type of business license she is applying for.
  • The system is tailored to your organization’s unique business rules, forms and regulations
  • Nina may save, submit, cancel or delete her application by clicking one of the links below. Once she saves it, it is transmitted to the individual at MyTown who is responsible for reviewing the applications, scheduling the proper inspections, and obtaining the necessary approvals to issue the license. As you can see, the whole process was very easy for the Nina, the citizen, and has eliminated much of the manual work that would have been necessary for the administrator to perform.
  • Thomas is the mayor of the City. Expediting service delivery, eliminating manual processes and simply making his city more citizen friendly are his highest priorities. Thomas, like many mayors and municipal executives, has established a variety of performance indicators that he compares to established metrics and his own city’s past performance to determine their success in meeting goals. With FastTrackGov he is able to review easily review his City’s performance on a regular basis through his executive dashboard. This keeps him apprised of how his City is performing and helps him to meet his constituents’ expectations. He is sure to be re-elected! Let’s take a look at Thomas’ dashboards.
  • In this view, Thomas is able to quickly check two performance indicators that he has identified as critical to him: The status of pending applications and a comparative revenue analysis. As you can see, he needs to do more research on the overdue applications, but license revenue is up over 20% this year indicating that more businesses are moving into his city.
  • By simply clicking on the lightening bolt, Thomas is able to drill into the pending business license applications to determine if there is a problem with overdue applications or if they are waiting for business owners to complete their information. Before FastTrackGov, he had to call the back office administration and ask them to research these types of issues. This always took time away from the citizens and resulted in a significant time delay in Thomas being able to obtain the information he needed to make informed decisions that would benefit his constituency.
  • In this dashboard view, Thomas is able to analyze the City’s performance this year versus last year and displays information in both text and graphical formats. He can view both licenses issued and total revenues along with the license breakdown by type of license. Again, his real-time executive dashboard provides all of the information he needs to make informed executive decisions.
