We’ve got another interesting morsel of handbag news for you lovely fashionistas
today, this time by way of a counterintuitive collaboration that threatens to be
fabulous. Women’s Wear Daily reports that Emily Current and Meritt Elliott, the duo
behind West Coast denim brand Current/Elliott, have joined forces with girly New
York’s Kate Spade to bring us a collection of bags.
The collaboration, which has been given a mouth-full name of The Westward by
Emily and Meritt for Kate Spade New York, will feature bags ranging from $245 to
$1295 that marry Current/Elliott’s West Coast cool with Kate Spade’s colorful East
Coast femininity. We have images of all seven bags for you to peruse. As expected,
the designs of Westward by Emily and Meritt for Kate Spade New York marry the
competing East Coast and West Coast aesthetic of the two brands. So check out

theme for this collection and this particular handbag is not lacking in it at all. The
perforated surface and creates a unique texture that stands out about the handbag. It
also has a cross body strap and top structured handles that make this bag fancy and
functional.

3. Westward by Emily and Meritt for Kate Spade New York (6): A leather perforated lap
cover and double straps with a contrasted suede bottom. This bag is similar to the
first, only it has strap closures that lay over the bag and a more compact structured
handle for easy pick up.

bag is definitely a show stopper having all the makings of a girls night out bag. The
leather detailing makes this bag pop with distinctive flare and the skinny shoulder
strap is the definition of femininity.

luxurious leather that we first saw from the first bag in the collection. This time there
is no texture to be found, but the flawless black leather bag screams affluence. The
flap bag has two strap closures, a top handle and cross body strap to finish. This is
the ultimate everyday bag.

leather bag with tall handle, thick zipper and thin cross body strap is also a good
option for an everyday bag from the collection.

structured satchel is quite simple and delicate, featuring one strap closure and a thin
shoulder strap (we really love this feature, it’s elegant and sweet).
