  • What You Will Need
    An Internet-ready computer.
    Windows Media Player 11 and/or iTunes Version 8 (both available at no cost).
    A Farmington Community Library Card.
    Optional: a portable player.
    MP3 player – Zune, Creative Zen, etc.
    iPod/iPhone/iPad(audio only).
    eBook Reader – Sony Reader, Nook, etc.

    Go to http://polpac.farmlib.org/polaris/.
    Find a book (for example “The Associate” by John Grisham is our catalog).
    eBooks/eAudiobooksare marked “[electronic resource]” under the title and author.
    Click “Click Here for Internet Availability” tab or the earth icon to the left.
    This will take you to the item’s record in MetroNet.

    WMA format will not work on a Mac.
    Overdrive makes it easy to browse for MP3 books. Click on the icon shown at left.
    You can also search for MP3 books in the search bar at the top.
    To search for MP3s in NetLibrary change the format to “MP3” and click “Search”. If you are browsing, leave the Search Box blank.
