The salutation is a sensitive part of the letter because this is the part where you have to write the name of the person that you need to address plus his title. You have to ensure that you spell the name correctly and you write the correct title. The introduction should mention how you found out about the job posting and why you are applying for it.The body of the letter is all about your skills and educational and career background. Include only relevant details to the body of the letter. Otherwise, your reader will feel as if you are just wasting his time. The closing should include your contact details and should also mention how you are eager to hear from them for a scheduled interview and how you are excited to become a part of their team. Finally, your complete name and signature should be included at the bottom right corner of the letter. Again, double check the spelling of your name. Just imagine how it would look if you misspelled your own name.
  5. 5. Writing tipsBe sure to research about the company and the job position before drafting your job letter. This will ensure that the information in your letter and resume is correct. Never use slang words even if you are writing using a casual and friendly tone. Greeting your future interviewer ‘Hey y’all!’ is not a good idea. Your might end up not having an interview at all.
