It was done towards the final project for an Advanced Optical Microscopy Course that I was taking, at the City College of New York (CUNY).

The idea talked about here was a SPASER whose output was modulated by a Raman signal, but that idea will not work because for a laser to get its output to be negatively affected the incoming radiation has to be out of phase with the waves inside the cavity. I still put this document up, however, since the substrate work might not be totally useless.
