Page Layout characteristics  Pages should be structured for ease of comprehension  Place important items consistently  All items should be appropriately aligned on the pages.  Ensure that page layout does not falsely convey the top or bottom of the page  Appropriate line lengths  Page Length according to contents  Use frames if function keys need not to move
  • 3. 1. Avoid Cluttered Displays  Excess items found on page that lead to a degradation of performance when trying to find certain information
  • 4. 2. Place Important Items Consistently  ICUBE-1 Updates are not clickable and found at top while some clickable important links (events and news) found at bottom of page
  • 5. 3. Place Important Items at Top Center  At Eligibility Criteria - MS Program page that is missing
  • 6. 4. Structure for Easy Comparison  Structure for easy comparison is missing at Fee Structure MS/PhD Programs
  • 7. 5. Establish Level of Importance  At Eligibility Criteria - MS Program page that is missing. Importance information is also shown at bottom of page
  • 8. 6. Optimize Display Density  At About IST page optimize display density guideline is missing
  • 9. 7. Align Items on a Page  All pages have aligned items
  • 10. 8. Use Fluid Layouts  Use fluid layouts guideline implementation is missing, at different screen resolution it show same behavior, not adjust it self

  • 12. 10. Set Appropriate Page Lengths  Volition is found at home page, where page length is handled by scrolling
  • 13. 11. Use Moderate White Space  Violation is found at faculty page, here white space is not moderate

  • 15. 13. Use Frames when Functions Must Remain Accessible  No such case exist in website
