  • 2. Real Estate Tax RateReal Estate Tax Rate  Half-penny increaseHalf-penny increase – From $1.085 to $1.090 per $100 of assessed home value. – $25 average annual increase for taxpayers. – $10.9 million in revenue, dedicated to schools.
  • 3. Funding for SchoolsFunding for Schools  3 percent increase for Fairfax County Public Schools (3 percent planned for next year, too).  Funded through real estate tax increase and $6 million in county government budget reductions.  52.4 percent of the county’s general fund budget, or $1.95 billion, is provided to
  • 4. Employee CompensationEmployee Compensation  Non-uniformed county employees will receive a total compensation increase of 2.29 percent.  Uniformed public safety employees will receive a 1.29 percent increase as well as step and longevity increases.
