For the first time, the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Partnership to Prevent and End Homelessness is able to provide a snapshot of data to reflect the outcomes on our 10-year goals, our collective successes and challenges, and the tremendous need that exists in our community.

  3. 3. <ul><li>2010 Snapshot </li></ul><ul><li>This is the first-ever snapshot of communitywide data made possible through a collaborative approach. It reflects the progress toward the </li></ul><ul><li>10-Year Plan goals; our collective successes and challenges; and the tremendous need that exists in our community. </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Establishment of baseline measures. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>18 organizations including 121 programs used the Homeless Management Information System to collect and report data. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Eliminating duplication and creating efficiencies. </li></ul></ul></ul>
  4. 4. <ul><li>System Transformation </li></ul><ul><li>During the past year, several new initiatives have been launched to enhance the responsiveness of the homeless services system. </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Housing Opportunities Support Teams (HOST). </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Housing Locator Network. </li></ul></ul></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>Bringing People Home </li></ul><ul><li>Central to the Fairfax-Falls Church 10-Year Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness is the development of more affordable housing units for the most vulnerable of our neighbors. </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Developing 2,650 new affordable and services-appropriate housing units. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Housing Options Subcommittee. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Housing Blueprint. </li></ul></ul></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>Challenge </li></ul><ul><li>Over the past year, the Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing program (HPRP) has helped close to 900 people receive the services and support they needed to prevent or end their homelessness. </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>More than $1.7 million allocated of these federal stimulus funds to be provided over 3 years; close to $1.55 million spent in the first 14 months. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>At this rate, financial assistance available through HPRP will be exhausted any day. </li></ul></ul></ul>
  7. 7. <ul><li>Solution </li></ul><ul><li>Homelessness impacts all of us and each of us has a role in ending it. </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>We will raise $1 million for the Ending Homelessness Partnership Fund. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>We do not need just money; time, effort and talents are all appreciated. </li></ul></ul></ul>
