Status • Overall Phase 1 • April 7 – Department Of General Services (VA) issued TCOs for all rail facilities good for a period of 60 days • April 24 – MWAA concurrence with DTP’s Declaration of Substantial Completions for Phase 1 on April 9 (after 15 day review) • April 27 - WMATA and MWAA reach agreement on work that must be completed in order for WMATA to declare a Operational Readiness Date (ORD) -33 items • ORD - when the project is turned over to WMATA custody and control • Late May projected date to achieve ORD • April 28 – MWAA issues letter to Macerich for work to proceed with pavilion connection • May 1 – DPZ concurs that MWAA has complied with the SE conditions for the station landscaping plans • Wiehle garage – Complete • Connector staff in the facility • Record of Decision roadway improvements –minor work remains • West Falls Church rail yard: • Sound Box Completed – Feb 2014 • Noise Study Completed – Final Report to be issued • Phase 1 project budget - $ 2.906B Follow On Activities • Following ORD WMATA has up to 90 days for testing, employee training, and emergency drills prior to passenger service • Tri-State Oversight Committee will review project for safety certification • Estimated to be a 60 day process concurrent with WMATA’s up to 90 day period • WMATA will provide weekly press updates on progress of outstanding work • Regional coordination for bus service and marketing outreach ongoing • www. silverlinemetro.com • Punch List and Testing 1 6 May 2014

Status • Phase 2 fully in design stage • 60% and some 90% design packages received • Issued for Construction packets – Starting Spring 2014 • Coordination ongoing • Town of Herndon • Adjacent Land Owners • Project Partners • Herndon and Innovation Center Station garages • Fairfax County has committed to fund and construct parking garages - Design ongoing • Innovation Center Station Garage - Land use case ongoing (June 2014) • Herndon Garage - staff has developed a number of concept designs (2232) • Scheduled tracks completion of the garages to the completion of Phase 2 • Status of Phase 2 Bid Packages: • Packet A - rail Line, station, and systems (includes Innovation Center Station) - Awarded • Packet B - Maintenance Facility at Dulles Airport – Technical Proposals received and under review • Award – Summer 2014 • NTP – Summer 2014 • Completion Summer 2018 Budget/Schedule • Cost Estimate: $3.093B • Cost Estimate with value engineering , Packet A savings, and garages funding outside the project: $2.6B • Substantial Completion: Summer 2018 • Revenue Operations: Late 2018 Current Milestones – Past 30 Days • TIFIA Application Approved • MWAA intention to hold tolls on the Dulles Toll Road at current rates through 2018 (as a result of TIFIA financing) • Design coordination ongoing 2 6 May 2014
