  • 2. A fairly standard way to do art with kids is to do what t I call copycat arts and crafts like the image Below from a workshop I did with teachers
  • 3. The best way to make something like trees is to Prepare different size trees for the children to choose from
  • 4. You would then prepare all kinds of materials for them To use in creating their trees on top of the trunks
  • 5. Below are some of the results from a workshop I did For teachers using this method
  • 6. If you want to do something particular like a fall scene, then its Also good to give pictures for inspiration and the right colors To depict that scene you want to show
  • 7. Is it not more to creative not to make a flower like this one Which is very typical
  • 8. And instead to do flowers like these that encourage Creativity And thinking skills
  • 9. If you really want to do crafts with kids as opposed To doing more creative, free style art Then there is a way to do so
  • 10. There are 5 categories of what I call Educational Crafts
  • 11. The first category is cafeteria style This is when the children get to choose cafeteria style The different materials they are going to use to Decorate their projects. Like the tree pictures before
  • 12. The second category is when you use a template and have The children do any kind of painting or process only art on This template
  • 13. The third category is to make decorations
  • 14. The fourth is to take an object and transform it into a work of art Using any number of techniques, like mosaics or decoupage
  • 15. The fifth is the final category and you can use any Number of process only art activities to create art and then To make them into either things like card, wrapping paper or framed pieces of artwork.
