  • 2. Cheetah The cheetah is the worlds fastest land mammal. A cheetah can go from 0 to 60 miles (96 kilometers) an hour in only three seconds. Female cheetahs often have a litter of three cubs and live with themfor one and a half to two years. Young cubs spend their firstyear learning from their mother and practicing huntingtechniques with playful games. Male cheetahs live alone or in small groups.
  • 3. Elephant African elephants are thelargest land animals on Earth. Elephant ears radiate heat tohelp keep these large animals cool, but sometimes the African heat is too much. Elephants are fond of water and enjoy showering bysucking water into their trunks and spraying it all over themselves. Afterwards, they often spray their skin with a dust. An elephants trunk is actually a long nose used for smelling, breathing, drinking, and also for grabbing things.
