1. 1. OUTGOING exchange Providing Life Changing International Internship Opportunities for Filipinos all over the world
 2. 2. What is it? RBI is the last interview which aspiring EP's, have to go through to become full fledged members of AIESEC. It is a formal and strict occasion, as it is considered as the final "job interview"for would be AIESECers and is supposed to check on whether or not the applicant has demonstrated the necessary behavioral competencies throughout their lives and convince the panelists that they are worthy to be members of AIESEC
 3. 3. Why do we do it? While the AC was designed to check the applicants on their actual working behaviors based on the GCM, the RBI aims to really dig into the actual personalities and lives of the applicants for their background, personal beliefs, goals in life, expectations and past experiences to check if they are in line with the organization. Furthermore, the RBI is also meant to check the feasibility of the applicants as EP's financially, emotionally, parentally and in terms of academic schedule.
 4. 4. How to hold an effective screening interview
 5. 5.

What qualifies as a good EP?

Able to answer the GCM based questions through SIGNIFICANT life experiences

Answers the questions as concise as possible and provides enough

information and expounds when necessary.

Asks questions about the program/organization, signifying interest

Confident, exudes enthusiasm and positive energy

Expectations about the program are correct (finance, nature of internship program)

The more open they are to possible country choices, the better

 6. 6. Sample Interview Flow 1.) Introduction - Formalities, get to know each other 2.) Clarify Expectations - Expectations about the program 3.) Basic Information, preferences etc. - Ensure that internship feasibility is possible 4.) Work Experience Based Questions - Check for experiences on the competencies 5.) Personal Questions - same as 4 6.) Closing - Thank the person, inform about any other important information
 7. 7. Questionnaire Part 1 and 2 (basic Info and feasibility check)
 8. 8. Questionnaire
 9. 9. Questionnaire
 10. 10. Questionnaire

IT’ S A LONG QUESTIONNAIRE. If you ask all of the questions, you ’ ll never finish on time.

When you ask about their work experience; what they did, their achievements/shining moments and their challenges, they’re bound to hit a couple of the questions/criteria already..

ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS! YOU need to get as much information as possible with the least number of questions

If you end up asking repetitive questions or getting repetitive answers, it means you’re not paying enough attention to the answers of the interviewee… they might have answered other questions while answering a previous one.

 11. 11.

Things to Watch out for and important reminders

Be friendly, approachable but professional.

Answer questions if the interviewee asks about AIESEC or the Internship Program

Remind applicants to answer directly and stop beating around the bush

when people are telling their stories, watch out for key information that can

lead to other questions being answered as well.

when not satisfied about the answer, ask them to expound a little more

DO NOT SCARE the interviewee. Your role is to make them talk, not freak them

out. YOU ARE here to find out more about people, they will not talk if the environment is hostile.

 12. 12. Grading Method 0 - No mentioned Experience, or obviously just plain bullshit 1 - knows the concept, but has not really had significant experience on the topic 2 - demonstrated and has had significant experience on the topic 3 - has Extensive experience and knowledge on the topic
 13. 13. Workshop Session
 14. 14. Instructions

Split people into two groups

Ratio of people between the two groups should be 1:2

The smaller group should be placed in isolation first or leave the plenary while briefing takes place

 15. 15. Instructions

The bigger group should group in pairs and be assigned to 1 person from the other group. (meaning two panelists per person)

Things to know: Their first love, current love frustrations, their crush in AIESEC Philippines, their dream date, sexiest/hottest person in AIESEC for them.

They have to find out the following from their interviewee but are only allowed to ask a maximum of 3 questions (follow up questions are considered a NEW question.. So be very careful with how you phrase your questions

Time limit is 10 minutes 

 16. 16. WRAP UPD!

It is very difficult to find out all the information you need under time pressure with a limited number of questions. YOU have to be able to work together as a panel to be able to fish out the information you need.

Setting an unfriendly/unwelcoming atmosphere will make your interviewees not trust you with their answers; resulting in a failed interview

Being an effective Interview Panel takes practice  So start practicing
