    • He was born on the 10 th of October 1968 in Manchester ,England
    • .he was trained in Chelsea school of art
    • .He has been living in Trinidad since 2004

    • British painter Chris Ofili, the controversial artist of Nigerian heritage whose black dung-breasted Virgin Mary enraged New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, has a new exhibit at the Tate Britain, which opens tomorrow. The artists is now based in Trinidad

    • An influence on Chris ofili is that in Trinidad he had found a large pile of elephant dung that looked like shoe so he sat down and drew it and was surprised in how well he had drawn it .
