Dear Friends!In this issue The year of 2011 has been very positive and productive for our group. Since Editorial......................................1 January 2011, the EWG-DSS Coordination Board has doubled in number of members. Besides the old coordinators (P.Zaraté, F.Dargam and R.Ribeiro), now New Board Members .................2 we count with the assistance of three new Board Members, namely: Boris Delibašić; Jorge Hernández and Shaofeng Liu, to better administrate the EWG-DSS Channels................... 3 activities of the group, as well as to bring new ideas to it. The new members have already proved their value in their first official task within the Board. All those activities comply with one of the main aims of our group, which is to actively promote the interest on Decision Upcoming Events..................... 11 Systems in the scientific community by proposing research projects, organizing dedicated workshops, mini-conferences and conference streams, as well as Contacting the EWG-DSS ........ 12 editing special and contributed issues in relevant scientific journals. In this sense, the EWG-DSS Board is currently editing two Journal Special Issues (on IJDSST and IJIDS) and one LNBIP Series Springer Book, which are described in more details in this issue.Editorial Board This EWG-DSS Newsletter reports to you the details about all our 2011 activities, projects, publications, proposals and achievements.
