  • Hi Brandi, Great questions! I think ebooks & whitepapers are great for lead generation. Create a catchy title & cover that will make people want to give you their name & email for a download. Works best if you have a website or blog (although you could also run a lead Gen campaign on a facebook page).

Brand awareness - i think Twitter is a great one - target your industry (or industries you want to target) using hashtags & share quality content consistently around your brand story & people will start to take notice. This has worked great for me... & use hashtags - it makes it easier for people to find your topics of interest.

In terms of my editorial calendar I have two. A monthly editorial calendar - which is an overview of the month where I plot things like a topic or industry I'm targeting that month, blog posts, email newsletters, video's, webinars, etc. Then I use a weekly social media calendar, which I plot all of my posts & status'

By no means do i just set & forget. It's important to get the strategy & planning right that's what the tools are good for. But then you have to be on Social Media regularly - seeing what's happening, what's trending & how people are interacting with the content. I would be on Social a couple of times a day (& of course I always get notifications on my mobile devices!). I'd be happy to share my editorial & social media calendar with you... they are just in a Google Doc format... shoot me an email at evielyn@shesageek.com.au if you're interested.

    Cheers

  • What type of mediums do you suggest for lead generation or brand awareness? And for an editorial calendar would you put everything on it and then only look to social one week at a time?
