  • 2. A country of picturesque beauty, situated in the eastern part of Europe, Romania is renown for its unique culture, the product of a distinct national identity.
  • 3.  Deeplyrooted in tradition and folklore, while also embracing innovation, Romanian culture has always struck as exceptionally vital and creative, imposing itself in the European space.
  • 4.  Romania has given the world numerous remarkable personalities, in both arts and science.
  • 5.  Inliterature, representative names are Mircea Eliade, Eugen Ionescu, Emil Cioran, and less known internationally, but nonetheless a symbol of our national identity, Mihai Eminescu.

  • 7.  In painting and sculpture, we pride ourselves with names such as Constantin Brancusi, Nicolae Tonitza and Nicolae Grigorescu.

  • 9.  Romanian scientists Victor Babes, George Emil Palade, N. Paulescu have made great contributions to human society, spectacular achievements also being made in the technical domain by Traian Vuia, Aurel Vlaicu and Henri Coanda.
  • 10.  Situated in Moldavia, in the eastern part of Romania, is the largest port town on the Danube River and a major economic centre, also one of the most populous cities in Romania.
  • 11.  isan important cultural centre, with highly appreciated educational facilities, catering to all ages and scholastic levels, such as the University of Galati (which has 2 unique faculties in the country), several specialised research institutes, 4 of which are also unique in Romania, and internationally recognised colleges.
