  2. 2. SYNOPSIS <ul><li>During the last 100 years, there has never been so many women at the top of the political power structure. Currently there are 11 female democratically elected Presidents, Prime Ministers and Chancellor in the world. </li></ul><ul><li>MADAME PRESIDENT is a feature documentary and television series that will explore the lives of women leaders and their unexpected rise to power, their strengths, challenges, aspirations and perseverance. </li></ul><ul><li>MADAME PRESIDENT will raise the questions: </li></ul><ul><li>What does democracy look like under female leadership? </li></ul><ul><li>Are there different expectations for female politicians? </li></ul><ul><li>Is there a collective force or a trend for an alternative to the status quo? </li></ul>

The Council's mission is to mobilize the highest-level women leaders globally for collective action on issues of critical importance to women and equitable development. </li></ul><ul><li>World Pulse Media </li></ul><ul><li>World Pulse : A Social Media Enterprise is a global media organization dedicated to broadcasting the untapped voices and innovative solutions of women worldwide. It produces an e-magazine and , an interactive global community website where women can speak for themselves to the world and connect to solve local and global problems. </li></ul><ul><li> </li></ul><ul><li>The International Knowledge Network of Women in Politics (iKNOW Politics) is an online workspace designed to serve the needs of elected officials, candidates, political party leaders and members, researchers, students and other practitioners interested in advancing women in politics. It is a joint project of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA). </li></ul>

TEAM <ul><li>KONDA MASON </li></ul><ul><li>Director/Producer </li></ul><ul><li>Konda Mason experienced immediate success in the Hollywood film industry executive producing her first short film, “Tuesday Morning Ride” which was nominated for an Academy Award in the short film category. Developing an interest in documentaries, Ms. Mason produced for Warner Home Video two one-hour documentaries as a part of The Ultimate Matrix Collection Box Set, called “Roots of the Matrix”. She also directed and produced a documentary on the political comedian Margaret Cho, which is featured on Ms. Cho’s latest DVD “Assassin”. For the past 10 years Ms. Mason has worked as a post-production producer in the television commercial business in Los Angeles and as a producer and post-production producer for EMP, Inc., a small production company which creates documentary content for Joel Silver films and other Warner Bros. titles. </li></ul><ul><li>EVA GEORGIA </li></ul><ul><li>Director/Producer </li></ul><ul><li>Eva Georgia began her career as an independent investigative print journalist and reporter in apartheid South Africa before moving on to radio. She became one of the founding members for the National Community Radio Forum in South Africa that consisted of 53 radio stations that were launched post-apartheid. She launched her first community radio station, Radio Atlantis, in 1995. She hosted weekly radio shows and served as a national board member to the NAB, National Association of Broadcasters, NFCB, National Federation for Community Radio and NCFR, National Community Radio Forum for South Africa. Eva Georgia worked as a consultant for Deutche Welle Radio and Broadcasting Institute in Frankfurt, Germany. Her consultancy included helping to set up community radio stations throughout South Africa, as well as Zimbabwe. Although Ms. Georgia is new to directing and producing film and television, she has a solid 15 years of production experience in media and radio broadcasting. </li></ul>
