Programme
Panel 1: From Rio to Bali: some emerging key
issues for ACP countries
This panel will debate over the link between climate change, agriculture and poverty. It will raise some policy issues that would potentially impact the most on ACP countries: the impacts of CC on agricultural production and technology; agricultural trade and markets and the role of capacity development to cope with CC.

Panel 2: Linking climate change to agriculture
and rural development
This panel will illustrate some of those emerging issues in the context of agricultural and rural development sector: can environmental concerns could work against poverty reduction? The issue of deforestation and carbon markets and the implications for small producers and the technologies adapted to local communities.
