NEPAD has to pressurize African Governments to
honour their pledge to invest in agriculture 2

FARA is lead Institution for CAADP Pillar IV
FARA and Stakeholders have created template for
CAADP Pillar IV, the Framework for African
Agricultural Productivity (FAAP)
A lot of experiential Learning to be done on
Application of the Subsidiarity Principle
Reference to Capacity Building are put in Specific
Contexts and does not give proper relevance to
the deficiencies in Human and Institutional
Capacity

Africa) - Disseminating New and Promising Technologies
across Africa

RAILS (Regional Agricultural Information and
Learning System) – facilitating exchange of information
and knowledge among various ARD stakeholders to
include the civil society organizations using the most
relevant and appropriate ICT tools
PAEPARD – building a platform for African and
European partnerships on ARD

FARA’s Collaboration with Relevant European Bodies
(EFARD, EIARD, ECART and NATURA)
African priorities are shared, recognized and integrated into
European priority setting exercises
European priorities and initiatives are ensured of African
relevance responding to the urgent needs and requirements
of Africa to move their economic development to an
acceptable level.
