    The first survey was conducted in early 2004. The survey was sent to the Top 200 airport operators. The response rate was again up on the previous year - 79 replies – our largest ever.

      • The first Airport IT Trends Survey was launched in 2004
      • Airline Business and SITA have collaborated for over 7 years on the Airline IT Trends Survey which serves as the industry benchmark
      • Cross-referencing the two surveys provides a detailed insight into the current shape of IT in a challenging air transport environment
      • The survey aims to set out key industry benchmarks in the areas of:
        • Management/strategic issues
        • Outsourcing
        • Technology trends
        • Security and Related Trends
    3. Survey response
      • This year’s survey results are based on responses from 79 respondents representing:
        • Over 191 airports
        • 48% of the revenues of the Top 100 airports
        • 66% of the passenger traffic amongst the Top 100 (52% of the Top 200).* *Source: Airline Business - Airports Financial & Traffic Ranking 2004/05
