    • Ethica Coffee—A New World of Coffee Taste and Quality, A Company that Pays Fair Prices to Coffee Farmers
Ethica Coffee invites you to experience the rich, flavorful, aromatic coffee created from beans obtained from high altitude Papua New Guinea coffee farmers. You will discover a whole new spectrum of deep, full-bodied coffee enjoyment and ask for more.
An innovator on two fronts, Ethica Coffee sources its coffee beans from one of the finest coffee growing regions of the world, the remote and nearly inaccessible foothills of Mount Michael in Papua New Guinea, and purchases the beans directly from the hard-working, oft-exploited coffee farmers at high prices. Ethica is a new breed of coffee company, one that insists on delivering the world’s finest coffee to its customers, while at the same time making a positive contribution to eradicating world poverty. Ethica embraces a new ethical business model, one that could lead to a more just society and a better world.
The 2009 winner of the Bronze Medal Award, Ethica uses only the highest quality arabica coffee beans, from which it produces its wonderful blends, gourmet coffees, dark roast coffees and expressos that keep delighted customers coming back for more. The coffees offered are available as whole bean, ground, expresso and green (raw) beans and may be purchased in either bulk or personally portioned quantities.
Ethica is devoted to the principle that Fair Trade should be universally available to all, and not restricted to only those suppliers and producers who can afford expensive certifications. As practiced today, the humble coffee farmer is virtually excluded from the Fair Trade system and receives none of its benefits due to the onerous regulatory hurdles that must be surmounted and the high fees required for participating in the system.
As a company, Ethica made a conscious decision to circumvent the unfair regulatory thicket and go directly to the coffee growers themselves, where they live and where they cultivate their crops. Ethica believes this is the only way to create a sustainable and fair-dealing relationship with their suppliers, something Ethica values far more than getting their coffee beans at low prices. It is a revolutionary approach to doing business, but Ethica’s behavior, and that of similar high-minded enterprises, may inspire others to follow suit.
Ethica offers you a wholly new way to experience your coffee: the java tastes great and, in buying it from Ethica, you are making your own contribution to creating a more just, altruistic world.
