History Matters In the 1940s after the cooperatives were formed to supply power for rural home and land owners, the statewide associations began to publish and distribute their magazines as a communications tool for members. As member/owners of the cooperative, readers influenced and contributed to the editorial direction and content. Articles range from energy saving tips and home improvement to gardening, recipes and all things in between that represent home, family and quality of life.
