    4. Purpose and Objective
      • Purpose: to open the course of sexuality/gender in Chinese universities in the common struggle, sharing experiences, best practices, innovations, strategies and material, as well as making the use of existing, limited resources more effective by networking and collaboration. And to strengthen capacities of universities, university related organisations and self-support based organisations in the effort of implementing sexuality/gender education and connect it to social inclusion of scholars and teachers.
      • Objective: to explore the feasibility and validity of implementing sexuality education, reduce the barrier and to improve capability.

    6. Strategy
      • To combine with different partners from different organizations related to education, woman study, social science etc
      • The method include the social science methodology, anthropology research, psychological analysis, pedagogical discussion, public health promotion, also including sexual & reproductive health rights etc.
      • More importantly, the project will take Social Science, Pedagogy and Medicine as basic discipline, and enhance the correlation rely on interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary or multidisciplinary approaches.

    7. Future interview
      • Sampling student population: 200 undergraduate students in health science, 200 undergraduate students in social science field, and 200 undergraduate students in pedagogical science.
      • Sampling professors: 20 professors in medicine, 20 professors in sociology, and 20 professors in education.
      • Sampling administration personnel: 20 administrative officers in medical research department, 20 administrative officers in social research department, 20 administrative officers in educational department.
      • *** the interview will be done by the China Team at the beginning of this September with new academic term coming.

      • For college students questionnaire
      • For administrative staff questionnaire
      • For professional questionnaire
      • *** all of three will be translated into English and put them in the category of Comparative Discussion in virtual communication platform.
    9. Project’s Activities
      • Component 1 : Teaching Activities of Sexuality in University. The purpose is to explore the possibility of opening the sexuality course by agree upon and to work on a common agenda etc.
      • Component 2 : Education and training . The purpose is to achieve capacity building by improved skills and knowledge of the educator and other professional researcher as well as volunteers and semi-professionals to deal with issues related to gender and sexuality.
      • Component 3 : Information, communication and networking, the purpose of which is to achieve strengthened and improved information sharing and communication capacity and well-functioning communications within Chinese Team/University in collaboration with other co-existing networks.
      • Component 4: Advocacy , the purpose of which is to support the action of sexuality education, also stimulate the public to improve awareness and knowledge related to gender and sexuality based on true and adequate information, etc.
    10. End The door for sexuality/gender is being opened in half in China.
