  • 2. Cuidad de Tokio , Japan • Tokio is one of the 47 prefectures of Japan and is the capital of Japan , the center of the Greater Tokyo Area , and the largest metropolitan area in the world .
  • 3. Habitants • Tokyo has a population of 13 million people and the area is about 2188 km2.
  • 4. Language • The language used is the Japanese It has three different alphabets: kanji, hiragana and katakana .
  • 5. Currency • Japan's official currency is the Yen. • In Japan there are coins of 1, 5, 10, 50, 100 and 500 yen, and bills of 1,000, 2,000, 5,000 and 10,000 yens.
  • 6. The trip • You can get to Tokio by plane. • The length of the trip depends on the stops. The shortest (with only one stop) takes 27 hours approximately. • The prices of the ticket are different. The cheapest costs $14.000 and the most expensive $35.000 .
  • 7. Traditional Japanese food • In Japan people generally eat a lot of fish , rice , vegetables and mushrooms. Many dishes have these ingredients.
  • 8. Japanese traditional drinks • The traditional driks of Japan are the sake (rice liquor) , the syou-chu( grain or popatoes liquor ) and the Japanese beer and tea .
  • 9. Shinjuku , Tokio • Shinjuku is the most important district of Tokyo, as it is the administrative and commercial largest area. It’s divided into two zones: the west, which is the administrative(picture 2) and the east, which is commercial (picture 1) .
