    • Learning English is Fun ! Escola Sant Martí de Torrelles de Llobregat by Sandra-Ruth Maas Cisa
    • General Information: 2007-2008 2008-2009 2009-2010 2010-2011 PELE project has begun. K4
      • Began learning English.
      • Received 1 hour session/ week with only half of the group.
      • Continue the same.
      • Receive 2 hour sessions per week with only half the group.
      • Become familiar with the English Library and be able to use it freely.

    • Main objectives of this project:
      • Improve students’ knowledge of English by different means
      • that motivate them and encourage them to practice and participate actively .
      • Acquire and use basic vocabulary and simple daily expressions using good pronunciation .
      • Comprehend daily classroom routines and respond to these as taught.
      • Understand simple conversations and stories within a given context by means of verbal and non-verbal communication.
      • Sing songs, chants, rhymes … in English.
      • Comprehend simple instructions and respond to them through actions.
      • Become familiar with different aspects of the English-language culture , basically through the way in which certain typical festivities are celebrated.
      • Enjoy themselves doing all sorts of different and fun activities in English.
            • Contribute to the child’s whole development (physical, emotional, psychological, social and cognitive) .
    • Contents taught in Kinder :
      • Basic greetings and classroom daily vocabulary .
      • Basic vocabulary related to what they are learning in other subjects (colors, numbers, animals, toys, etc) .
      • Traditional songs, chants and rhymes , and newer ones.
      • Different things related to typical celebrations and festivities .
      • Games we play in English.
      • Learning is lots of fun!

      • 4) At the end of the class, we all help clean up, get in line carefully and say goodbye so we can all walk back to our class.
