    • Prerequisites for joining the pilot (volunteers)
    • Recruiting both Danish and Swedish aged workers
    • Employed, un-employed, retired and self-employed
    • Few physical meetings planned for introducing
    • the methodology and CWE
    • Additional meetings for elaboration on themes of importance/”prejects”
    • Themes turning into projects
    04/06/09 Folkuniversitetet
  • Findings
    • Members actively using CWE
    • also needed additional
    • face-to-face meetings
    • Need for longer kick-off/introduction of the methodology
    • For the pilot members themes of importance was about contributing to sustainable development giving back to society
    04/06/09 Folkuniversitetet
    • The participants experienced – and some learned - how to act in a virtual community
    • Need for clear cut goals and expectations
    • for an ageing workforce to embark on CWE
    • “ Preject” thinking – calls for a paradigm shift
    • Mind-shifting from hierarchical structural thinking to self-organizing complex heterarchical thinking is a hard exercise even if proponents of WEB 2.0 may say that it is just a matter of trying it out
    04/06/09 Folkuniversitetet
  • Dilemmas 04/06/09 Folkuniversitetet
    • Positive towards CWE vs. use of time and resources for face-to-face meetings (provided participants wanted to make a difference together)
    • Identifying the themes of importance – politically
    • correct or a true choice?
    • Importance of communicating the methodology – create a common vocabulary for all tools or put emphasis on the differences in perspectives of each tool?
  • Examples of success
    • 3 pilot members has jointly registered a consultancy firm in eSangathan methods for innovations in social economy
    • 2 pilot members implemented a CWE in the NGO: Seniors without boarders in Denmark ( www.sug.dk )
    • 1 pilot member (Master Mariner) implemented CWE as tool for initiating export/import between Sweden and Angola
    04/06/09 Folkuniversitetet
  • Thank you for listening. 04/06/09 Martina S Bach
