  • 2. A desktop computer is a personal computer (PC) in a form intended for regular use at a single location. Four major manufacturers are: -Apple Computer -Dell Inc. -Gateway, Inc. -Sony The average cost of a desktop computer is between $600- $1,300 .
  • 3. A laptop computer is a personal computer designed for mobile use that is small enough to sit on your lap. A laptop integrates all of the typical components of a desktop computer, including a display, a keyboard, a pointing device (a touchpad, also known as a track pad, or a pointing stick) and a battery into a single portable unit. The average cost of a laptop computer is $600-$1,200.
  • 4. A smartphone is a mobile phone offering advanced capabilities beyond a typical mobile phone, often with PC-like functionality. It includes advanced features like e-mail and Internet capabilities, and/or a full keyboard. The cost of smartphones ranges from about $150 to $500 or more.
  • 5. <ul><li>A Tablet PC is a laptop or slate-shaped mobile computer, equipped with a touchscreen or graphics tablet/screen hybrid technology which allows the user to operate the computer with a: </li></ul><ul><li>stylus </li></ul><ul><li>digital pen </li></ul><ul><li>Fingertip </li></ul><ul><li>The average cost of a tablet computer is between $1,800- $2,000 </li></ul>

  • 9. -a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) developed by the United States Department of Defense. -The average cost of a GPA system is $300- $500
  • 10. -is a personal computer designed for mobile use that is small enough to sit on your lab -The average cost of a mini laptop is $250- $500.
