    1. Worldcat.org Finding what you want through Worldcat
    2. What is Worldcat.org?
      • “ WorldCat is the world's largest network of library content and services”
      • With Worldcat, you can search the catalogues of many libraries, all at once
    3. Why Worldcat?
      • Worldcat is most useful when you have a particular item you want to locate, and you don’t want to search a number of different catalogues to find it.
    4. Getting started
      • Go to: www.worldcat.org
    5. Searching
      • Type a title or author into the search box
    6. Results
      • Lots of results might show up, but not every one will be useful
    7. Refine your search
      • Use the links on the left to bring up only the results you want
    8. Finding the Title
      • When you see the item you want, click on it to see the full record
    9. The Record
      • Great! But now that you’re here, what can you do?
    10. Options
      • Worldcat provides a lot of choices, including: getting the book from a library or Amazon, saving the record for later, sharing the record with social bookmarking, or reviewing the item
    11. Information tabs
      • Tabs at the bottom of the record provide easy access to information
    12. Libraries tab
      • Fill in your location info on the library tab
    13. Libraries tab (con.)
      • This will bring up a list of libraries closest to you which have the item
    14. Reviews tab
      • You can read Amazon reviews of the item
    15. Advanced features
      • Once you’re used to Worldcat, you can create an account to make booklists
    16. Participation
      • Contact your library to see if they are included in Worldcat results, or...
      • Search for an item on Worldcat that the libraries in your area are certain to have
    17. Go try it!
      • Find out what a useful tool Worldcat can be!
